ABOUT Techni-Core

Techni-Core Network Services, Inc. (TCNS) was incorporated in 1997 to supply degreed and certified Network Engineers for commercial clients. Techni-Core is a commercial network services group which offers task-based IT Engineering consulting services for large and small corporations. OUR SERVICE FOCUS

Techni-Core Engineers focus on the four critical areas of protection for every customer’s network: intrusion prevention, data protection, virus and spyware defense and disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Our Engineers specialize in all versions of the Microsoft ® Windows Server and Workstation Operating Systems and provide support for Microsoft ® Exchange Server, SQL Server, ISA Server, Microsoft WSUS (Windows Software Update Services) and SharePoint (web-based team collaboration workspace) implementations. Our expertise includes Active Directory design, Group Policy implementation; firewall and layer 2 & 3 device configuration and deployment; secure wireless networking installation and deployment of VPN Tunnel and Remote Desktop solutions. All Techni-Core engineers have extensive experience in providing desktop support including spyware removal and recovery, support of a wide range of desktop applications, peripheral troubleshooting and end-user training.

Techni-Core Engineers offer 24x7 emergency response, including data recovery from backup; server/workstation system recovery and re-establishment of mission-critical business functions arising from a critical failure. The emphasis of the Techni-Core Engineering team is to be able to provide a wide array of Network Engineers and System Administrator with advanced technical expertise that can respond to any customer event at a moment’s notice. Techni-Core Engineers can offer customers system support via phone, e-mail and remote desktop sessions.

MULTI LEVELS OF SUPPORT!

On-Call IT Support Services is our 24x7 task-based on-call support for emergency calls, critical problem resolution, network upgrades, deployments and routine end-user support calls and is the primary support service for our clients. It is the core service level for all Techni-Core clients.

Our optional "Network Assurance" Plan provides an important additional service that focuses on handling the many routine tasks that are necessary in any network to sustain network uptime, such as monitoring system health, event logs and backups. Once a client’s network is stable and has been documented by a Techni-Core Engineer, we encourage all clients to sign up for a Network Assurance agreement. Under this plan, a Techni-Core Network Administrator will set up routine site calls on a schedule that fits your needs and your budget (e.g. weekly, monthly or quarterly). Pre-emptive system maintenance is the best way to avoid major problems.

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning adds a business critical layer of protection by creating a customized Disaster Recovery Plan that will assure you of business continuity in the event of a major incident such as a fire or tornado damage. Disaster Recovery Planning requires an experienced approach and goes far beyond just having data backups. Very few businesses have a plan in place, yet without one your business could be devastated by an unforeseen incident. Techni-Core strongly recommends every client to have a Disaster Recovery Plan.

Outsourced IT On-site staffing Services is our solution for our larger clients whose networks support a permanent staffing requirement either due to size and/or mission criticality requirements. Techni-Core can place experienced System Engineers or Administrators full-time on-site or for as many days as you need.

Computer Forensic Services is Techni-Core’s specialized service level for clients who need a formal documented forensic analysis of a computer system. It includes documentation of the custodial chain and discovery process, secure image acquisition, gathering of evidentiary material and, if required, expert witness testimony in a court of law. Our forensic software can also uncover and undelete lost files and folders for client who have lost critical data. IMPORTANT: If you suspect that a system has been tampered with or has possibly been used for improper or illegal purposes, it is critical that you suspend all use of the system immediately and impound it. If you try to examine the system yourself you may inadvertently alter critical file date and time stamps or lose the ability to recover "deleted" evidence. Call Techni-Core and ask to speak to our forensics expert for advice.

Cabling and Technician Services is Techni-Core’s range of Technician-level services for clients who need Ethernet CAT-5/6 wiring, Fiber or hardware equipment repairs. Techni-Core’s cabling experts are Leviton Certified Installers. For clients who have unlabelled “rats nest” wiring closets, we can re-cable and tidy up the mess. SEI GROUP contracted for network support services from Techni-Core in August of 2001. Since that time, we have expanded our offices threefold, added servers, a hardware firewall, hosted our own ftp site and implemented VPN capability. Our business, like many, requires continuous ‘up-time’ in order to service our customers and allow our personnel access when they need to work. Our electronic business assets must be fully operational and first rate, or we cannot deliver the products and service our customers require.

With Techni-Core, we have found the technical capability outstanding and service response times to be very good. In selecting Techni-Core, SEI had other choices. We determined that Techni-Core would offer the best combination of professional capability at a reasonable fee. SEI is pleased with our decision to use Techni-Core. Techni-Core has been servicing our computer technology needs since 2000. In those years we have installed ever more complicated systems to facilitate electronic time keeping for payroll, Deltek GCS Premier accounting software operating on an internal network with 3 users, and a local network with 8 users on an internal server. Techni-Core, and in particular Lawrence Taylor-Duncan, has been totally responsive to our needs. They usually are here within an hour of the time we call with a problem, depending on the severity of the problem. We especially appreciated the level of effort from Techni-Core when systems go down. We have found that the personnel from Techni-Core in general have a level of expertise and initiative that insures that we get the best support and the quickest service available.

One of the most valuable things Techni-Core does for us is to prevent problems by keeping us up to date with the latest tools to prevent unauthorized user access to our systems and control email problems before they can occur. We don’t let anyone but Techni-Core have access to work on our computers and networks.
